Eugene “Doc” Burrow
Of La Crosse- Eugene “Geno” “Doc” Burrow, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
He was born in La Crosse to Fredrick and Wilma (Witlock) Burrow on April 4, 1934.
He served in the United States Marine Corp. He married in 1955 to Betty Van Dunk in La Crosse and later divorced. Geno worked as a tile setter before working for the La Crosse School District for 24 years. Geno was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman.
He is survived by his four sons, Michael (Mary), Lawrence (Sue) both of La Crosse, Terrance (Ann) of Onalaska, and Charles of Holmen; brother, Fredrick (Kate) of Baraboo, WI; sister, Norene (Don) Ziel of Tenn.; grandchildren, Ryan, Ben, Nicholas, Brad, Allison Burrow; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Chandler, Xavier, Kaiden, and Avian; and special friends, Jane Swanson, Bob and Jim Neumeister.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 10th, 2010 starting at 11:00 AM at Sam’s Bar, 2116 George, La Crosse. Coulee Region Cremation Group at www.couleecremation.com is assisting the family.
