Frederick Edward Johnson, 53, of West Salem, died peacefully on March 11, 2013 at the Sparta Mayo Clinic Health System. He was born January 9, 1960 to Frederick and Sandra (Buxrude) Johnson.
Fred lived with his family on the farm in Decorah Prairie, at a young age they moved to their own home in North Bend. Fred found his love for fishing at a young age. Many of his days were spent on the Black River and later years in Chetek. Fred was also an avid sports fan.
He is survived by the love of his life, Faith Johnson; daughter, JoDee (Mathias Marco) Johnson; mother, Sandy; sisters, Charleen (Russell) Thill, Yvonne Johnson-Stuhr; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew and special friends, Wayne Stendalen and the members of the Right Way Club.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frederick.
The family would like to thank the care providers of Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice and all care providers of Mayo Clinic Health System in Sparta.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Mindoro Lutheran Church, W3879 CTH DE, Mindoro. The Rev. Janet Wollam will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the service at the church. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
