Hetty Elizabeth Chatterton, 79, passed away Sunday 12-9-12. Born in Selby, England 19 May 1933. Married to Geoffrey Chatterton July 2, 1955 at Selby Abbey Episcopal Church. Immigrated to the USA August 8, 1958. Lived in Sparta, Holmen & French Island over the years. Hetty was a very talented water color artist & gave classes at the area Nursing homes some years ago.

She is survived by husband, Geoffrey Chatterton; sons, David A. Chatterton & his wife Wendy, Markham G. Chatterton.

Our parents passed away many years ago & there are no brothers or sisters.

She was a true partner in all our endeavors & was a great crew on the Snipe sailboat in LaCrosse from 1970 through 1975. We toured the U K on many vacation trips to visit our families & actually saw more of the U K while visiting than when we lived there. Hetty will be deeply missed by all the family & others that knew her.

We want to commend Gundersen Lutheran Hospice for their help over the last few months. According to Hetty’s wishes no services will be held. We learned that Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s are related and we wish any memorials to be gifted to Gundersen Lutheran Parkinson Research Foundation in Hetty’s memory. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
