James Frank Browning Sr
James Frank Browning Sr, 68, of La Crosse, WI passed away peacefully on July 23, 2013 at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse. He was born on August 26, 1944 to Ferdinand Jr and Ruth Elizabeth (Phares) Browning. He married Carol Ann Wilks June 9, 1973 in Wilmette, IL.
James enjoyed building radio control airplanes, cooking and baking. Jim was a devoted husband and father, he enjoyed watching his two grandsons sporting events.
He is survived by his son, James F. Browning Jr of La Crosse, WI; daughter, Dorothy M. (Dee Dee) Browning; two grandsons, Ethan James Browning and Alec Joseph Browning; and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Browning; and his parents.
The family would like to thank all of the nursing home staff at Hillview Health Care Center and the dialysis wing at Mayo Clinic in Onalaska with a special thank you to Dr. Iyer of Mayo Clinic and nurse Jen of Hillview.
There will be a celebration of life at Kramers Bar and Grill, 1123 So 3rdSt., La Crosse from 1 – 4 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2013. In lieu of flowers, your presence is preferred.
My condolences to you Jim Jr. and DeeDee. I remember some good times at your place with both your mom and dad in our younger years. That is the “Big Jim” that I will always remember.
