James “Jim” Jerome Raddenbach
James (Jim) Jerome Raddenbach, 82, of Chetek, WI, passed away on December 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in Lacrosse, WI. Jim was born January 8, 1942, the oldest son of Jerome and Veronica Raddenbach (Bier).
Jim graduated from Beloit Catholic High School and worked as a brakeman and conductor on the Milwaukee Road, Soo Line, and Canadian Pacific Railroads for 32 years. His nickname on the railroad was “Swampy.”
Jim Served in the US Navy from 1961 to 1962 on a radar picket ship USS Virgil, and participated in the Cuban Missile Crisis blockade. Remaining to cherish Jim’s memory are his loving partner Debbie Sedevie of Onalaska, WI; his two children Jennifer (Bill) Malone; grandson, Cole Malone; and Jason (Shelly) Raddenbach; grandchildren Trinity, Addison, and Gabriel Raddenbach. Also survived by his brothers and sisters: Frank (Patty) Raddenbach, David (Connie) Raddenbach, Betty (Mike) Link, Kathy (Bob) Witzak, Bob (Connie) Raddenbach, and Hugh (Wendy) Raddenbach, and many extended family and friends.
Preceding Jim in death are his parents and sister, Theresa Raddenbach. Jim was a dedicated member of the Catholic faith, serving in the Knights of Columbus and Lions Club for many years, and volunteered at the Chetek Food Shelf.
All friends and family invited to the memorial service on thursday April 17th at noon to 12:30 at Faith Baptist Church 1475 Railroad Ave Chetek. Catered Luncheon afterward untill 3pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Chetek Food Shelf, 50 Hwy South St. Chetek, WI in loving memory of Jim.

I will miss our many hours together Jim: gardening, fishing, hunting, canning, trips to Canada and all over northern Wisconsin. So many great times just sitting around, telling lies and enjoying each others company. You will missed!
