James Orient, age 80, of Prairie du Chien, passed away peacefully  surrounded by his family, on May 20, 2012 in Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital.

He was born on August 30, 1931, to John and Anna Marie Orient. His interests included fishing walleye, reading, puzzles, the outdoors, and “Mike”.

He is survived by his daughters Anna (William) Mercer and Christie (Channing) Reynolds; three granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Mike.

He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his brothers and sisters.

His family wishes to thank Gundersen Lutheran, Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital and Hospice.

A Memorial/Celebration of Life will be held at Falling Rock Walleye Club on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 1:00 P. M.  Please dress casually.
