Janice G. Meier of Bangor, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 2, 2012, in Mulder Health Care Facility.

She was born August 25, 1929, to Frank and Lucille Gasper. Janice enjoyed playing cards, poetry, nature, the garden club and spending time with family. She worked at Fort McCoy for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Meier, her sister Dorothy Aicroth, and her brothers-in-law Bruce Aicroth and William Westley.

She is survived by her sisters, twins Lois Pouzar and Louise Westley, her brother James Gasper and his wife Karen, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, and many friends.

We learned so much from how she lived her life, with patience, kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and dignity. She is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Mulder Health Care Facility and those from Gundersen Lutheran Hospice for the care given to Janice.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 303 16^th Avenue South, Bangor, with visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the mass.  The Rev. Robert Hegenbarth will officiate with interment at Fairview Cemetery.
