Jeanette Mae Parker
Jeanette Mae Parker, 73, of Holmen/Onalaska and formerly Dresbach, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
She was born on May 1, 1937 to George and Pearl (Stenstra) Bateman. She married Homer Parker, Jr. on August 21, 1957 in La Crosse.
Jeanette mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends She also enjoyed gambling and camping. She worked for 35 years until retiring at the La Crosse Rubber Mills. She later worked at Walmart. She was always thinking of others.
She is survived by her husband, Homer Parker, Jr.; sons, Michael (Iris) Parker, Steven (Mardi) Parker, Dean Parker; daughter, Brenda (Robert) Riggall; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Alvin (Lucy) Bateman; twin sister, Janet Grodevant; sister, Judy (Butch) Muenzenberger; dog, Beethoven; many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Bateman; son, Arnold Hartika.
The family would like to thank the hospice providers of Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 5:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery Chapel, 1407 La Crosse St., La Crosse. The Rev. Keith Habeggar will officiate. A visitation will be from 3:00PM until the service at the cemetery chapel on Wednesday. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
