August 5, 2024 | 10 comments

Jeffery Paul Ustby, aged 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 1, 2024. Born on June 7, 1957, in LaCrosse, WI, Jeff grew up on his family’s farm, which instilled in him a lifelong love of the land and a strong work ethic. He spent his life in Holmen, WI, where he built a fulfilling life with his family.

Though Jeff worked for 17 years at Chart Industries before retiring, it was his diverse interests and hobbies that truly defined him. He had a passion for fishing, especially during his cherished trips to Lake of the Woods in Canada. Jeff also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, gardening, tinkering in the garage and woodworking. A car enthusiast, he was especially proud of his 1972 Plymouth Cuda. Jeff was known for his generosity, willingness to help with any project, and his devotion to his family, particularly his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Eileen, and two children, Kristina (Robert) Rogers and Adrian (Ashley) Ustby. He also leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren: Kaiden, Lizzy, Julian, Logan, Madison, Kashtyn, Laynee, and Baby Ustby due Dec 24. Jeff is also survived by his siblings, Russell (Helen) Ustby and Carol (Alan) Rindahl and mother-in-law, Alice Jackson.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Evelyn Ustby, and his brother Steven Ustby.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street Onalaska, visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.

So sorry for your loss. Knew all the Ustby’s from Ray and Evelyn who we bought 40 acres in 1971 on Casberg Coulee in Holmen to their children. God Bless you Jeff, and condolences to his family.
