Jeffrey Leon Starkey
Jeffrey L. Starkey, 69, of La Crosse passed away March 1, 2021 in his home in La Crosse.
He was born November 25, 1951 to Velton and Leora Starkey. He married Jeanna Frazier Starkey in 1982 and later remarried to Barbara Solberg Starkey in 1998.
Jeff was a local musician who sang and played bass guitar for over 40 years. He loved singing karaoke with his daughter, Jessica and fishing with his son Jacob.
He is survived by his son, Jacob Starkey; sister, Joan (Calvin) Hendrick; and brother, Roger (Ellen) Starkey; and his grandson Jaylon.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Jeanna Frazier Starkey, Barbara Solberg Starkey and his daughter, Jessica Starkey.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 5th a 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1010 Sill St., La Crosse.
I thought I’d see you again in this life. I’ll look for you in Heaven. You were like a big brother to me when I was young. Thank you. Love you.

Jeff my brother you will be missed by so many musicians in this tri state area. your vocals, your harmony’s, your bass playing and mostly your presence amongst us. You and I traveled many roads together and when i get there on that next road we’ll be singing Bubbles in my beer. Love you brother and my deepest sympathy to Jacob and all your family.
