Obituary
John C. Hefti
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John C. Hefti, who departed this life on August 27, 2025 at the age of 72 years old.
Born on August 16th, 1953 in La Crosse, John was the beloved son of Jack and Jeanette Hefti. John grew up in La Crosse and attended Central High School.
John loved music (especially jazz and blues), the Packers, and socializing. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always quick with a story from the good old days. He was a fantastic cook and could often be found in the kitchen or “burning something on the grill.” He enjoyed hunting, being on the river, and spending time with those he loved. In his younger years, he was an avid musician like his father, Jack Hefti and built race cars for several local drivers. John also devoted 16 years of his life to the US military, during which time he was deployed to Vietnam.
John is survived by his daughter Megan Remen (Cody), grandchildren Silas and Averie, partner Susan Lisiecki (son Luke), step-daughter Danielle Ulrich (Scott), nephews John Hendrickson (Emily), Robert (Lisa) Donndelinger, and niece Michelle (Brad) Baier.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Jack and Jeanette Hefti and sisters Jill Donndelinger and Judy Hendrickson.
The family will be holding a private ceremony with military honors to mourn the loss of their beloved father, grandpa, partner, and uncle.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Johns passing. He was a wonderful father to me for 20 years. We may not have always saw eye to eye but I learned a lot from him and definitely would not be the person I am today without having him in my life. He will be greatly missed by many. My condolences to his family and those closest to him in this hard time. ❤️
