John David Johnson Sr.
John David Johnson, 78, of Onalaska, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday July 11th, 2021 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI.
He was born on January 19th, 1943 to Louise Johnson.
John enjoyed people, CNN News, the Green Bay Packers and his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
He is survived by his sons; John David Johnson Jr., Stephen Andrew Johnson, and his 5 Grandchildren; Ryan Johnson, Alexis Johnson, Travis Johnson, Danielle Johnson, and Derek Johnson.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, 1407 La Crosse St, La Crosse, WI 54601.
Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
I grew up with John on the North Side of La Crosse. We played at Erickson School. I am saddened at his passing and may he RIP.
John’s spirituality has been very helpful to me. Thank you, John, and blessings to you and your entire family.

losing a parent is something you never get over~ the best way I have found to move forward after my mom, Kama, died was to continue living her legacy.

My family and I are so grateful to have had John Johnson come into our lives (1987 I think?, I was 7 so that sounds right).
He reached out to people in a way that no one else could .
He never judged nor doubted anyone. He believed in them.
He listened to people and did all that he could to lift their belief in themselves, and held their hand through the process.
He was a force for God and a force for Good.
