John Michael Sapp
John Michael Sapp, 63, of Beloit, WI, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. He was born on July 20, 1949 to John and Clarissa Sapp.
John enjoyed his motorcycles, cars, karaoke, and dancing.
He is survived by his sons, Alec Sapp, Morgan Sapp, Ethan (Natalie) Plater, Jordan (Ruth) Plater; brother, Joe (Marian) Sapp; sister, Debbie Lynch; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, 600 E. Lake Park Pl., Lake Mills, WI. Bishop Zachary Buth will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Mike taught me life lessons that have helped me succeed GREATLY in the world. I even find myself sharing what he taught me with many others.
Was he misunderstood sometimes? Yes, especially when he was passionate about something & didn’t have time to explain himself. I’m sure the boys will attest that he was understood & respected as well. He lost his temper and would say to me, “Learn from me! . . . especially if I’m doing something that isn’t working.” Oh, I did.
He also took time to explain his philosophies to me as a young man. I haven’t forgotten what he said.
Mike had a huge presence and an even bigger heart. He sure hasn’t disappeared.
My heart goes out to the boys (Alec, Morgan, Ethan & Jordan) and all those that loved and lost John Michael Sapp. My life is extraordinary, today, because that man lived.
