John W. Derrickson
John W. Derrickson passed away peacefully at home on October 5th, 2024. He was born on June 25th, 1940 in Avoca, WI. Proudly serving his country in the US Navy brought him many travels in his early adulthood. Being outside in nature was his happy place and where he felt most comfortable. If you heard any mischievous childhood stories from John, they often included his life long best friend Bob Johnson.
John is survived by his wife of 35 years, Julie; sister in law Anne Jones and family; children Todd Derrickson, Sue Gameson, Brenda Moran, Alex (Molly) Derrickson; his step sons Aaron (Emily) Larson and Andrew Larson; grandchildren Fyscher (Baylie) Gameson, Lewis (Isis) Gameson, Makayla (Nathan) Gremminger, Zavier, Owen and Eleanor Derrickson, and Finley Larson; great grandchildren Jayden and Liam.
He is proceeded in death by his Mother Gladys; first wife Lynette Derrickson; brother Milo Jones; and his granddaughter Hannah Gameson.
He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
A private celebration for the family will be arranged at a later date.

Todd, Sue, Brenda I am so very sorry to hear of your Father’s passing. Years past when I met him he was always nice to me. Be kind to yourselves during this difficult time and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
John was always kind to me. I was always welcomed at his house just like family. Looking at the long list of his actual family, that means even more to me now. Peace and love to him and his family from me and my family!
