Joseph J. Bina, Jr., 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2023 at  Department of Veteran Affairs, Tomah VA Medical Center. Joe was born June 28, 1932 to Joseph, Sr. and Clara (Gilles) Bina. On January 16, 1954 he married Mary Fisher at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse, WI. After Joe’s retirement, he enjoyed farming, fishing, and RVing. Joe proudly served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. He was stationed in Japan. Joe is survived by his four children, Wayne (Tammie), Robert (Carol), Allen and Christine Pitz, five grandchildren, Sarah, Maggie, Robert, Catherine, Margo, two step grandchildren, Brian and Crystal, two great grandchildren and seven step- great grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, four brothers, and a son- in- law, George Pitz. Joe’s family extends a sincere thank you to the staff at Mayo Clinic Health System, La Crosse, as well as staff at Tomah VA Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care. A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.
