Joyce Elaine Sunday
Joyce Elaine Sunday, 89, of Holmen, WI, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2021 at the Onalaska Care Center in Onalaska, WI. She was born on June 4, 1931 to Bertha and Olaf Davidson. She married Robert J Sunday Sr. on February 14, 1948 at the Osseo Lutheran Church in Osseo, WI.
Mom enjoyed sewing, embroidering, gardening, and working with flowers. She was famous for her baked beans that were enjoyed at all family functions. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center, seeing so many friends playing bingo and cards. Being with her family gave her the greatest love and joy.
Joyce is survived by her children, Bonita Becker, Mary Jo (Earl) Engelson, Sandra (Irwin) Fischer, Debra (Rodney) Collins, Kim (Robert) Wagner, Teresa (Doug) Shughart, Charles Sunday, Robert Jr (Mary) Sunday, Gregory (Kristi) Sunday, Kristin (Jim) Schupbach; daughter in law, Mona (John) Wiacek; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sunday Sr.; sons, Gary and Randy; and son in law, John Becker.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dennis Ohlrogge and the staff at Mayo Clinic Health System, the staff at the Onalaska Care Center, and very special thank you to our niece Penny Peterson for the extra care she gave at the center.
The family will hold a private memorial service and will hold a celebration of life for friends and family at a later date.
I am so sorry for your loss of your lovely Mother. Joyce is a special wonderful lady. My prayers for strength, peace and comfort for all of you. Blessings

So very sorry for your loss, I really enjoyed visiting with Joyce throughout my years of knowing her. She loved her family for sure as I could tell in our conversations. May peace and the love of God surround you all during this time.
