Katherine D. “Kate” Bjergum, 92, of La Crosse, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

She was born on December 7, 1918 to Katherine (Stang) and Joseph Gegenfurtner. She married Lloyd Bjergum in March 1966.

 

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; son, Jim (Barbara) Wright; daughter-in-law, Gladys Wright; 6 grandchildren, Scott (Tina) Wright, Michael (Cherrie) Wright, Todd (Nancy) Wright, Erik (Jenny) Wright, Sherri (Jeff) Preeshl, Cathi (Tim) Pederson; many great and great-great grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren, Barbara, Danielle, and James ; and nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her sons, Ronald G. Wright, George H. Wright; 1 grandson, Steven; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

 

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 12:30 to 2:30PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery Chapel, 1407 La Crosse St., La Crosse. Interment will follow the visitation at the Cemetery.
