Kathleen Ann Vaughn
Kathleen Ann Vaughn, 87, of La Crosse, passed peacefully, into the loving arms of Jesus, February 4, 2025.
She was born in Stanley, WI to the late Alva and Josephine (Olson) Clumpner September 19, 1937.
A devoted woman of faith, Kathleen dedicated much of her life to serving the Lord, her family, church and community, always leading with love and compassion. She had a deep passion for working with children, guiding and counseling many throughout her life.
Her career was as diverse as it was impactful. Serving as a teacher, a counselor, farmer, business owner and even a deputy sheriff. Through each of these roles, she embodied strength, wisdom, and kindness, touching countless lives along the way.
Above all, Kathleen was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She cherished her family and found joy in nurturing those around her. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Kathleen married Michael A. Vaughn in 1957, & later divorced after 30 years, sharing 5 children, 10 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Mike (Rina) Clumpner; sons, Eric K. (Lynda) Vaughn, David M. (Teri) Vaughn, Kelly J. (Wendy) Vaughn; daughter, Kimberly J. Vaughn Wiebke; grandchildren, Eric M. Vaughn, Chase A. (Annie) Vaughn, Alexander L. Vaughn, Cody J. Vaughn, Brenton A. Vaughn, Michael C. Volden, Sierra L. Vaughn, Colton J. Volden, Austin D. Vaughn & Victoria E. Wiebke; step-grandchildren, Karissa Heilman & Chadd Heilman Schmidt, numerous other relatives and friends.
She is reunited in eternal peace with her brother, Daniel C. Clumpner; son, Brian M. Vaughn; and son-in-law, Shawn F. Wiebke, along with many other family members and loved ones. Special thanks to The Mayo Hospice team and to her grandson Alex.
A service & celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held at Bethany Free Church, La Crosse WI with special music provided by Awaken Church, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., where friends and family are invited to honor her memory.
Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
