Katie Marie TerBeest

Tempe Arizona – Katie Marie TerBeest, age 33, formerly of La Crosse, died on November 13, 2022 as a result of a tragic car accident. She was a graduate of Central High School and UW-La Crosse.

Katie was a bright, vibrant, humorous woman who cared deeply for her family and friends.  Some comments from her friends attest to that:  “You were always so kind and genuine and an all around fun person to be around. Your smile was infectious and you could make friends with anyone.” ; “You were one of the most generous, beautiful, loving humans I ever had the opportunity of calling my friend.” ; “You were beautiful. You were kind. You were hilarious. You were vibrant. You were independent. You were strong.”

She is survived by her parents, Gary and Barb TerBeest and her brother Andy TerBeest.  She is also survived by Uncle Brett Baldwin, Aunt Cheryl Baldwin, Aunt Karen (Gary) Schwab  and cousins Teagan Schwab and Tamryn Schwab.  She was preceded in death by her Uncle Mark Baldwin.

A celebration of life will be held at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, Wisconsin on December 10, 2022 at 11:00 am. Visitations will be on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday December 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  In lieu of plants, flowers, or other gifts, simple acts of kindness are encouraged as a way to pay it forward in Katie’s name.
