Kitty Mae McConnell
Kitty Mae McConnell, 66, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, December 20, 2013. She was born November 1, 1947 to Lester and Mabel McConnell.
Kitty participated in work and day services at Riverfront, Inc. for 37 years. One of her favorite activities was going to the spa, having her hair, nails and make-up done. She also loved to do karaoke and crafts. She was a very free spirit and loved people, especially babies. Kitty’s favorite times of year were Halloween, her birthday, and Christmas.
She is suvived by her family, Ann Rendler, Cheryl Leisher, Amy “Mema”, Jordan “Bepe”, Sadie “Sadah”, Cooper “Ooper”, Ernie “Baby”; brothers, Ronald (Bernice), John; niece, Dana (John) and her daughter, Camoryn; her beloved dog, Lilly; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Angus “Mac” (Carol), and Lester.
The family would like to thank the many staff and friends at Riverfront, Donna Lowery, Michelle Olson, Dr. Kitty Howells, and also Western Wisconsin Cares.
Kitty touched the lives and hearts of many during her time on this earth.
Please join us for a celebration of Kitty’s life on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska. The Rev. Ted Dewald will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Riverfront Day Services.
What a lady. Kitty was a real bundle of mischief she could always keep you on your toes. I will always remember her and am sorry I can’t join everyone on Sunday.
