Kurt Lyle Kopp
Kurt Lyle Kopp, 57, of La Crosse, passed away January 31, 2026.
Kurt was born July 22, 1968, in Winona, MN to Mary and Lyle Kopp and loved growing up in Centerville, WI. He attended Gale- Ettrick- Trempealeau High School and graduated from Winona Technical College. After graduation he worked at Tool Crafters and Stellar Mold and Tool in Galesville, WI.
Kurt met the love of his life Christian Calleros in Mexico where he not only fell in love with Chris but also her family. They loved to travel the world, but they always came home to their favorite destination of Mexico.
In February of 2021, their most precious gift, Eleanor Mary, their daughter was born. Kurt loved his family so much. At night Kurt and Eleanor could be found sitting at the kitchen table strategizing how to do puzzles and of late teaching her how to play Monopoly.
As a former farmer, Kurt also had a soft spot in his heart for animals-especially his dog Wyatt. He also took very good care of his shop cats and donated and supported the local Humane Society.
Kurt and Chris own and operate Dynamic Concrete and Resurfacing LLC, as a business owner he made sure he took care of his employees. His passion was to ensure that he gave his customers quality product and work. Kurt also had many other interests such as traveling the world and meeting interesting people and definitely experimenting with the food from different cultures. He loved taking his friends and family with him and showing them good restaurants and the cultures, he found to be educational and life changing. He also loved auto racing, music, and good food from local food trucks to fine dining all around the world.
Kurt was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Kopp; and his mother, Mary Ziel Kopp, and niece Stacy Borchardt, aunt, Phyllis Olson.
In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by his sisters, Kelly (Mike) Oslie, Kari Kopp Henderson, Karla Kopp Sikora; nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Elliot) Mueller, Kelsey Henderson, Ryan Henderson, Maija Sikora and Lydia Sikora; as well as his extended family and friends in Mexico and all of his dedicated employees at Dynamic Concrete.

I just found out this afternoon that Kurt had passed. I have known Kurt for almost 30 years and called him a friend. Kurt was a straight up, hard working guy who had a big heart. I called his cell phone tonight just to hear his voice. Kurt will be missed by many but never forgotten.
RIP my epoxy brother!
