Larry Alan Hundt, 64, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2014 in his home from lung cancer. He was born August 21, 1949 to LeRoy and Alice (Midtlien) Hundt. He married Sally Ann Daffinson on August 7, 1999 in La Crosse.

He was a proud Veteran of the US Army having served from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1975. After his military service he worked at Trane Co. for 36 years.

Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking, boating, wood-crafting, photography, camping, Wisconsin Sports, pool and an occasional succulent drink (Arrrr!).

He is survived by his wife, Sally Ann (Daffinson) Hundt; mother, Alice Hundt; son, James Hundt; daughter, Jennifer Hundt; stepsons, Robin (Kelly) Wood; Jody (Dawn) Wood; stepdaughter, Crystal Sjolander; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Greg (Wendy) Hundt; Todd (Jana) Hundt; and lots of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Hundt, brother, Brent and sister, Julie.

The family would like to thank the Mayo Clinic Healthcare Hospice Program, all the wonderful neighbors, close friends, family and a very special thanks to Crystal, John and Stumpy for all their help caring for Larry.

There will be no services per Larry’s request. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 4:00 pm at Snuffy’s Bar in La Crosse. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
