Larry H. Skoug
Larry Skoug, 71, went home to our Dear Lord on Monday, November 18, 2024, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born March 02, 1953 to Lois (Rasmussen) and Vern Skoug.
Larry truly loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. They were the light of his life. He was a very special man with many talents, Avid hunter, fisherman, athletics, coached youth sports for many years, and sports enthusiast.
His very special places to go were Florida and Arizona, to visit family and go vacationing. He worked as a lineman for Rice Lake Utility, Trempealeau Electric and Riverland Energy Co-op for over 40 years.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy. Sons, Michael (Jessin) of Lake City, MN, Nicholas of Lake City, MN, and daughter Tracie (Justin) of Anthem, AZ, grandchildren, Leilah Szmanda of Anthem, AZ, Tayvin, Breckin, Cruz and Silver all of Lake City, MN. Aunt Shirley Rasmussen of Eau Claire, WI and her family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Vern, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to thank our Gundersen Health Hospice family. Especially Dr. Larry, Dawn, Cameo, Teresa, Christine, Molly, our 3 Jennifer’s, Michelle, Daniel, Julie, Ashley, Chelsea, Amber, Amy and Beth. Much Loved by Larry, Kathy and Family for making it possible to have more time together because of their outstanding loving care and compassion.
The family would like to also thank Pastor Dave and Pastor Kody at First Free Church, and our First Free family, and Greg at Christen Farms Golf Cart Rentals. Thank you Greg for your kindness, and the joy Larry got from his prairie rides up until the night before he passed.
Memorials may be directed to Gundersen Health Hospice or First Free Church of Onalaska, WI.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Sorry to read this Kathy, remember working with Larry at school district for a short time. He did have a way about him, made me smile.

Kathy, we are so sorry for your loss. We think about the good times often. We are happy we got to see and visit with Larry a few weeks ago while he was out and about. We will keep you and your family in our thoughts.

Kathy we are so sorry to hear of Larry’s passing. God surround you with his loving arms and give you peace and comfort.
So sorry to read about Larry passing. He was a great man who will be missed by family and friends. Hugs and prayers for you at this time. He fought a great fight.
I am very saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. Just seemed like yesterday when I talked to him on one of his Brice Prairie golf cart adventures. Always positive, thoughtful and sincere. Larry will be greatly missed. My condolences to Kathy and the family.
