Obituary
Larry Lee Hoffman
Larry Lee Hoffman (71) of Holmen, WI (formerly of Helenville, WI) passed on September 24, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Larry was born on September 3, 1947 to Paul and Ella Hoffman (nee Bosveld). Larry grew up near Rome, WI with his sisters Arlene and Beverley, attending Palmyra High School.
Larry married Kathleen Parks on October 22, 1966 in Oconomowoc, WI. Together they raised two children, Jeffrey (Kendra) Hoffman of Seattle, and Jennifer (Jon) Strangstalien of Holmen, WI. After working as a carpenter and home builder for several years, Larry started his own furniture manufacturing company, as Owner and President of Legacy Custom Furniture.
Larry loved hunting, fishing, and outdoor activity of any kind. He was an avid golfer and loved traveling the world with Kathleen. They enjoyed the experience of cruising and exploring the cultures of other countries.
Larry is survived by his children Jeffrey and Jennifer, his sisters Arlene Hoffman and Beverley (Sonny) White, five grandchildren (Garrett, Sawyer, and Ella Hoffman, and Kennedy and Emersen Strangstalien) as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, all of which brought great joy to his life.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen in 2009, parents Paul and Ella, brother-in-law Gerald, and his infant son, Todd.
The family wishes to thank Hillview Healthcare Center and Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice for their care and support.
In lieu of a service, Larry wished to have family and friends remember him by enjoying a meal with their loved ones, and appreciating the time they had together by sharing stories.
Jen, Jon and family, I am so sorry for your loss. May you find peace in prayer and in memories. You have my deepest sympathy.
My condolences to Jen and Jon and their beautiful girls, and Jeff and Kendra and their lovely children. Your parents surrounded both their children and all their grandchildren with so much love. Hang on to all those good memories; you’re great parents already because of the role models you had.
Love and peace to all.
So sorry for your loss, many memories growing up as cousins.
