Lawrence “Larry” Harold McGuire
Lawrence “Larry” Harold McGuire, 82, of Onalaska died on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse following a long illness.
Larry was born April 27, 1931, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Harold and Gladys Humes McGuire. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1948. He married Georgia Ann Wooding in 1957.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia, a son, Lawrence Harold “Mac” McGuire; a daughter, Ann Wooding (Keith) Rayner; two grandsons, Nicholas Patrick Antonelli and Joseph Lawrence Antonelli. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ivor; and a nephew, Kevin McGuire.
According to his wishes cremation will be accorded and there will be no services.
Larry was one of the first adults in my life who treated me as an adult and taught me a lot about hunting and life while sitting for hours in the goose blinds. I will be ever grateful for knowing him. My prayers are with you family.
