Leo William Servais

Leo William Servais, 76, of Middle Ridge passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, from complications of heart surgery.

Leo is survived by his wife of 46 years, Shirley; son, Douglas (Brenda) Servais of Middle Ridge; daughter, Julie (Wayne) Gorski of La Crosse; grandchildren Kayla, Luke, Caden and Zachary Servais, and Alec, Anna, and Adam Gorski; sisters, Marcella Weiker, Betty Althoff, Loretta (Jack) Nockels, Arlene (Roger) Young and Delores (Ray) Spies, all of La Crosse, Jean (Al) Hammes of Stoddard, and Diane (Larry) Silha of Coon Valley; brothers George (Jean) of Rockland, Mass., Cletus (Bonnie) of Bangor, Clarence of Cashton and Stanley of La Crosse; mother-in-law, Muriel Skrede of Westby; sisters-in-law, Barbara Simonson and Ella (Harland) Hoeft of Cashton; and brothers-in-law, Roger Skrede of Cashton and Carland Christopherson of Holmen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Caroline Whalen; brother, Arnold Servais; nephew, Curt Servais; father-in-law, Vaughn Skrede; sisters-in-law, Sharon Christopherson and Charlene Colby; and brothers-in-law, Jerome Weiker, Leo Althoff, Leo Whalen and Ronald Simonson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Premrauth Rabindranauth, the medical and nursing staff of the intensive care unit at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, and Dr. David Momont.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Middle Ridge. The Rev. Joe Hirsch will officiate Mass. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Joe Hirsch. A visitation also will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church Tuesday. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
