Linda Joyce Mc Guire
Linda Joyce Mc Guire, 65, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2016 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born December 12, 1950 to John and Joyce (Kvam) Slaughter. She married Charles W. Mc Guire Sr. on May 23, 1970.
Linda enjoyed shopping, the Green Bay Packers and mostly spending time with her grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her son, Charles Mc Guire Jr.; daughter, Christal (Dan) Thielker; grandchildren, Nicole Thielker, Kyle Thielker; sisters, Kathy (Don) McVicker, Karen Beck; and many nieces, nephews and others who called her mom.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Mc Guire Sr. in 2009 and her parents.
The family would like to thank the ICU unit and all of the doctors and nurses who cared for her at Mayo Clinic Health System of La Crosse.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 701 Well St., Onalaska. Bishop Matthew Baker will officiate. Visitations will be held on Friday, June 10th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska and from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Burial will take place at the Onalaska City Cemetery.
Dear Chuck, Christal and families, You have my most sincere sympathy on your great loss. Your Mom was truly one of God’s own. She was an awesome woman as you already know and I was so lucky to call her my friend. She was always so kind to me and my kids (Cheri, Carli & Phil) and we will miss her.
