Linda Lou Hanson
Linda Lou (Ihde) Hanson, 88, of Onalaska, passed away December 9, 2025.
Born February 27th, 1937, in Galena, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Beulah (Champion) Ihde.
She graduated from Galena High School in 1955, and married Alban Hanson in Dubuque, Iowa, January 2, 1956. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She had previously worked at Birnbaum’s grocery store for five years, Franklin School for five years, and McDonald’s for 27 years.
Linda is survived by her children, Mark (Janice) Hanson, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Catherine Bull, of Rochester, Minnesota. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Barnowsky, Kirsten (Alex) Gullett, Amy (Kevin) Christian; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Remy, Cohen and Pierce Christian and Delilah Barnowsky, 6 nieces and 3 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alban Hanson, her parents; three sisters, Pauline, Betty and Darlene, and three infant brothers.
The family would like to thank Gunderson Hospital and Hospice, as well as the Eagle Crest Community for the care given to Linda.
A visitation will be held from 10-11:00 am on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1010 Sill St, La Crosse, WI 54603. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the church along with a luncheon at 11:30 am.

I am so sorry to learn of Linda’s passing. I cherished my long relationship with her. Her positive attitude and wit was contagious to everyone around her. I loved ribbing her and got plenty in return.

Mark, your Mom was the sweetest lady. We knew her from Trinity and Doug would see her at Festival. She was so friendly and she will be missed as one of our generation’s Moms. Doug and Nancy Casper.
