Lois Ann Mundinger
Lois A. Mundinger (Evenson) passed away August 23, 2013. She was born June 30, 1926 in Eau Claire WI to Albert and Elsie Evenson. She married Donald A. Mundinger on Jan. 11,1947. Throughout the years of their marriage, they resided in Madison, WI, Antigo, WI, Eau Claire, WI, and Anaheim, CA. In 1967 they moved to La Crosse, WI where Lois worked at Gateway Transportation, WWTC, and Faith Lutheran Church as the secretary for 14 years.
Lois was very active in the life of her beloved church. She enjoyed watching Packer games with her friends at Michael Heights as well as playing cards, dominoes, and rumikub. Her greatest joy in life was found in her strong faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved her family and looked forward to all family gatherings, especially the ones where her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were present. She was a tremendous cook and baker and her home cooked meals were always enjoyed by her family and friends.
Lois is survived by her three children, Gary (Beth) Mundinger of La Crosse, Sara (Don) Kirkendall of Cary, NC, and Paul (Kelli) Mundinger of La Crosse. She is further survived by eight grand-children, Erika (Chris) Witek of Oregon, WI, Dana (Jeff) Kobernusz of Brooklyn, WI, Kirstin (Jeff) Gralnick of White Bear Lake, MN, Renee Hanert of Onalaska, Trevor (Melissa) Kirkendall of Raleigh, NC, Katy (Ryan) Johnson,of Cary, NC, Andrew Mundinger of Thiensville, WI, and Benjamin Mundinger of La Crosse. Lois is also survived by nine great grand-children as well as her brother-in-laws Wilton Burr of Eau Claire, and LaVerne (Nancee) Mundinger of Las Vegas, NV.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, brother John Evenson, sisters Betty Burr, Gayle Hines, Carole Halland, and Janet Evenson. Lois received her crown of everlasting life on August 23, 2013 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. Suggested memorials should be given to Faith Lutheran Church in La Crosse, WI. A Christian homegoing celebration for Lois will be held on Monday, August 26th at Faith Lutheran Church in La Crosse at 11:00 am. There will be a visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at the church. The Rev. James Cumming will officiate. Interment will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire at 3:00 pm on Monday.

What a loss we all feel today. You were a wonderful, giving, and loving woman Aunt Lois and we will miss you greatly.
