Lori Sue Obert
Lori Sue Obert (Rochester), 38, of Genoa died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at her home with family by her side, after a 6 year battle against breast cancer.
She was born in La Crosse on Sept. 11, 1973, to Robert and Rita (Miles) Rochester. She married Troy Jason Obert on October 18, 2003.
Lori was always known for her excellent cooking, her shopping addiction, and most of all, her will to never give up. Lori worked at Walzcraft for 6 years until cancer caused her to leave. Throughout her battle of cancer Lori remained at home taking care of the house and kids. Family always came first to her. Her daughters Mckenna (7) and Sophia (5) were asked to describe their mother with one word and their responses were “awesome” and “beautiful.” She was an amazing wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her father, Robert, her husband, Troy, her children, Evan, Joe, Nate, Mckenna, and Sophia. She is also survived by her six sisters, Bonnie, Paula, Julie, Rita, Mary, and Tina, her six brothers, Robert, Randy, Steve, Mark, Rick, and Terry. And finally also survived by many nephews, nieces, and inlaws.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 15th, from 4-7 p.m at Three Rivers Fellowship Church, 3400 Losey Blvd. S. On Saturday, June 16th there will also be visitation from 10-11a.m with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Chad Cummings will officiate. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
The family would like to give special thanks to the community for all the support through the benefit and extra help. They would also like to thank Angie Strasser and the Hospice staff for the excellent care that was provided the last couple of months.
