Margaret (Mugsy) Mary (Slonka) Germanson, age 50, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2012 in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

She was born on November 21, 1961 to Lois (Wagner) Slonka. She married Ricky Germanson on February 14, 1985 in La Crosse. Mugsy was a life long resident of La Crosse. She graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1980, and from WTC with a degree in Child Care and Development. She worked at Cub Foods for 17 years, and most recently worked at Wal-Mart. Mugsy enjoyed being with Rick and hanging out. She is survived by her husband, Ricky; her daughter, Lois and son Timothy, both of La Crosse; her granddaughter, Addilyn; her brother, Tim (Lisa) Slonka of Sparta; her sisters, Susan (Al) Blenka of Albert Lea, MN, and Nancy (Mike) Kopski of Oklahoma City, OK; nieces Jennifer (Walter) Hibbard, Amanda Blenka and Alison Blenka, Gary and Pat Germanson, Larry Germanson, John and Carmen Germanson, Debbie and Rick Blankenship, Leland and Joann Germanson; nieces and nephews Jaime-Katrina-Lindsey, Marilyn, Kelley, Darren, Zachery, Jacob, Zoey, Steven, Stacy, Justin, Emilee, and Brittany.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Slonka (Wagner), her father- and mother-in-law, Leland and Alice Germanson, her grandparents Merrit and Anna Wagner, and her stepson, Joshua Germanson.

The family would like to convey its thanks to Dr. Mark Brumm and the hospice nurses from Mayo Health Systems, La Crosse, for the care given to Mugsy; also thanks to the many people who stopped in to visit her.

A memorial service will be Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 2:30 P. M. at Oak Grove Chapel, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:30 immediately prior to the service. The Rev. Kathleen Charles will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
