Marilyn A. (Ruhnke) Petras, 84, passed away peacefully on 8/1/2024. She was born on 8/23/1939 and spent her life bringing love and joy to all who knew her.

She was united in marriage to Ed Petras on 2/4/1961, they spent 51 wonderful years together until Ed passed in 2012. They moved to Holmen, WI, from the Chicago area in 1962 along with their 2 sons, Kenny and Doug. They owned and operated Cozy Corner Cottages in Brices, Prairie.

Marilyn enjoyed bowling, golfing, trap shooting, fishing, gambling, and getting together with friends to play cards. She was a true friend to many.

Marilyn is survived by her nephews, Glenn (Janice) and Gary (Anna) Slonke; and great-niece, and great-nephew, Gabriela and Jordan Slonke from Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her WI family and best-friends, Bill and Cindy Simdars, and their children, and grandchildren. She was a big part of their family and will be missed. They were truly blessed to call her their friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; her two sons, Douglas and Kenneth, her mother and father; sister, Shirley; and brother, Earle, Ed’s mother and father; and his brother, John.

Marilyns memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her warmth, spirit and love will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Marilyns wishes were to be cremated and her ashes spread with her husband and two sons. Per her wishes there will be no memorial service.

Rest in peace our dear friend. We will miss you.

Condolences
