Marion J. Koloski, 89, former warden of the Ohio Penitentiary, died 11 October 2010.

Son of the late Stanley and Agnes Koloski, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Helen Spalding; children, Paul (Kathy), Mary, Peter (Kim), Maggie, and Martha; brother, John (Julie), and eight grandchildren. After serving in the U.S. Army Air Forces, during World War II, he graduated from The Ohio State University. He was superintendent of the old Mansfield Reformatory and the Chillicothe Correctional Institution before becoming warden of the Ohio

Penitentiary in 1968. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbus, OH on Friday Nov. 5th at 10:15 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice, or to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Coulee Region Cremation Group at www.couleecremation.com is assisting the family.
