We’ve lost a very dear friend who will never be forgotten. His super sense of humor, his generosity and his overall “nice guy” are all traits we’ll always remember. His birthday “month” will forever be remembered. Our sympathy to the family.

My deepest sympathy to Mark’s family and friends. I first met Mark when my sister was planning her wedding. Mark was the best man and we became friends. I would often run into Mark and we always chatted about what was new since the last time we bumped into each other. Up until 17 months ago I worked down the street from Mark. I often took walks on my lunch break and would see Mark outside Dairyland Power working on the grounds. I would stop to talk and lose track of the time, Mark was so easy to talk to, and my walk would end up being only 10 minutes as my lunch break would be over. I didn’t mind a bit, when we were both too busy we would smile and wave. Mark had a great smile and I always enjoyed talking with him. I am deeply saddened by his loss. God Bless!

I am so saddened by the passing of Mark. He was a great friend of my deceased husband (Tim Potaracke) and the Best Man in our wedding 33 years ago. I had not seen Mark for awhile and now am upset that I did not get to see him before his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. He will be sadly missed. It’s been 14 years since I left Dairyland but many times on my viists to the Credit Union I would see Mark working outside and he always had a smile and always had time to chat a bit. Dairyland has probably the most beautiful lawn of any business in La Crosse and most of that was due to the efforts of Mark. And in the winter, after a snow storm, you could count on clear sidewalks and parking area as Mark and his co workers came in at all hours of the day. He tooks such great pride in his work…a model employee. He will be missed by everyone and leaves us all great memories. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I first met Mark when he started working at Dairyland Power. Mark and I soon became friends and hunted together in Wyoming, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Mark was very generous and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Mark was a hard worker
and always had a smile and a greeting to share.

Mark was like a brother to me and I will miss him.
Mark will be missed by his many friends and co-workers.

We are very sorry for your loss. I remember bowhunting with Mark in the 80’s with the River Valley Bowhunting club. He always had a smile on his face. I would periodically run into Mark and he would always stop and talk. The last time I saw Mark was a little over a year ago just after my father, Mike, passed away. Mark was a great person and will be greatly missed. Our sympathy goes out to your family.
