Marlene Joyce Cadmus
Marlene Joyce Cadmus July 23, 1939 – January 26, 2026
Marlene Joyce Cadmus, 86, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at Gundersen Hospital. She was the firstborn child of Charles and Evelyn Dunahay, born in Madison, Wisconsin, where her life story began.
On January 11, 1958, she married her beloved husband, Roger Lee Cadmus, in Monona, Wisconsin. Together they shared 67 wonderful years of marriage, raising five children on their farm and building a life full of love, hard work, and adventure. They especially enjoyed traveling and visiting Canada. Marlene loved the outdoors — fishing, hunting, and camping brought her great joy. She also found comfort in sewing, knitting, crocheting, and gardening, sharing her talents and kindness generously with family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sandra Wells (Don); her sons, Duane Cadmus (Lisa Davis) and James Cadmus; her grandchildren, Donny Wells (Michelle), Danny Wells (Sarah), DuWayne Cadmus, Charles Cadmus, and Miranda J Hamilton (Richard); her sister, Dianne Cartter (John); and her many great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense pride and joy; sister-in-law, Ramona Dunahay; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger Cadmus; her parents, Charles and Evelyn Dunahay; her stepmother, Helen Dunahay; her in-laws, Richard and Alice Cadmus; her brother, LeRoy Dunahay; her daughter, Evelyn Cadmus; her son, Richard Cadmus; and her brother-in-law, Gordon Cadmus.
Marlene’s gracious smile, unwavering devotion to her family, and boundless love will forever be cherished. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Her celebration of life will be held this Spring. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
