Michael James Horihan

MICHAEL JAMES HORIHAN (Son of Martin ‘PAT’ Horihan, Grandson of Martin and Mathilda Horihan of Hokah, MN) soared freely and painlessly into the next life on the wings of a beautiful Blue Jay Friday, December 6, 2024 at Hope Stay Memory Care in Holmen, Wisconsin.

Michael is survived by his mother Nancy Potts of La Crosse;  his beloved sister, Danielle Ulrich and her husband Scott  and their children Olivia and Sam of La Crosse; sister Megan Remen (Cody Wiig) and children Silas and Averie of Onalaska;  sons Jacob and Patrick and daughter Teagan Horihan; paternal Aunts and Uncles Mary Horihan of Hokah, Helen & Norm Whillock of Trempealeau, George & Jackie Horihan of La Crescent, Mary Lou & John Mauss of Dubuque, IA, Ray & Mary Horihan of GA, Ed & Claire Horihan of AZ, Kate & Don Grant of Dresbach,and Mike & Connie Horihan of Hokah and maternal uncle David (Janet) Potts of La Crosse  as well as many, many cousins and friends.

Mike’s family extends a very grateful and sincere THANK YOU to the Staff at Hope Stay for the love and care they gave him during his stay and his battle with MS.

Memorial service will Sunday, December 15, 2025 at 5 p.m. at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.

Coulee Region Cremation Group 133 Mason St Onalaska, WI is handling arrangements.

    I miss you Michael! You were always nice to me and I miss pushing u in your wheelchair on walks, or pushing you back from the dining room to your room and how you showed me your picture of you and your sister, Danielle. He sure loved that picture. I will miss talking to you and I miss seeing you. Fly high Michael. I will never forget you. Love you! 🙏❤️

    somehow I got this message and I know you may not know me but I dated your son as a teenager and he was my first true love I am so sorry for your loss I will just remember him how he was, I guess God needed another Angel!
