Obituary

Michael Ray Radmaker

December 13, 2016

Michael Ray Radmaker, 62 of La Crosse, passed away on 12/10/16 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on 12/5/1954 to Fred and Mary (Hippen) Radmaker.   He was the 4th child in a family of 8 Radmaker children. Mike and his family lived on a farm near Lakota, Iowa, and moved to Buffalo Center, Iowa in 1965.

Mike attended Buffalo Center High School and graduated in 1973 and then attended Hawkeye Technical College where he studied Tool and Die Making. He worked for several years in Lake Mills, Iowa, and then later in Lacrosse, Wisconsin.

He was a fun loving uncle and would entertain his many nieces and nephews with practical jokes, cards and sports. Many a niece and nephew still tell stories about playing golf, football, or baseball with “Mike” or learning how to drive a car under his direction.   He loved to laugh and make other laugh.

As the years passed Mike’s life took a different path and the Radmaker family lost contact with him. We searched for him over the years with no success. Thanks to the assistance of a fantastic Social Worker, Irene, we are able to place Mike to rest and have many questions answered.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Mary Radmaker, his sister Gloria Baun, brother-in-law David Baun, and nephew Ronald Baun. He is survived by sister Barbara (Tom) Hayes, brother Roger (Coleen) Radmaker, sister Patty (Bill) Langhorst, sister Kathy (Bob) Lewis, sister Peggy(Randy) Boekelman and bother Paul (Chris) Radmaker and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Wesley United Methodist Church, 721 King St. La Crosse. Pastor Anna-Lisa Hunter will officiate. A time of fellowship will follow.

Another memorial service will be planned for this spring in Buffalo Center, Iowa.

Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.

Condolences
