Mitchell J Kessler, age 66, of La crosse Wi, died at his home on February 14th, 2025, surrounded by family.
Mitchell was born on April 23rd, 1958, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI to Frances A Nelson.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spent much of his working career logging. He loved watching football and cheering for his favorite team, The Green Bay Packers. He also had a passion for travel and loved road trips, often including his family in the adventures he had planned. He liked to camp and spent many summers at Bluebird Springs Campground, making memories with friends and family.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his mother Frances A Nelson and nephew John Semlar. He is survived by his siblings Marilyn (Doug) Semlar of La Crosse Wi, Brenda (James) Kuhlmann of Onalaska Wi and brother Robert (Pat) Kessler. A devoted niece and frequent road trip companion Kristi (Jhordan) Lindsey of Onalaska. Along with many other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Mitchell was always the life of the party, and to keep that spirit alive, in lieu of funeral services a celebration of life will be held this summer at a date to be determined.
Our family owes special gratitude to Dawn, Nicole and the amazing team with Gundersen Health System Hospice, Sherry and Tom with Inculsa Family Services, along with Jennifer and the caring staff at Innovative Services. The impact you made on his life and his final days is beyond words, thank you for all you’ve done for our family and everything you do for others every day.
