Obituary

Arnie L Sebranek

January 16, 2018 | 5 comments

Arnie L. Sebranek age 74, of Onalaska passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 . He was born to Virgil and Joyce (Dorshied) Sebranek. He married Shirley Wildenradt in 1968 in Waukon, Iowa.

Arnie was a kind and generous person who loved to help out anyone he could, and he never was in a bad mood. He loved reading, science, astronomy, and movies. Most of all he loved Bluegrass music, stemming from a musical family lead by his father. He adored his 4 grandkids, Eli, Ryker, Monroe and Skye, and would let them do anything to him. There were many times they would paint his nails and do his hair as he was “napping” and of course Shirley was encouraging them as she was taking pictures.

You could often find Arnie and Shirley working in their yard, they sure enjoyed spending time out in their rock garden and sitting around the patio fire place, laughing and talking with all the great neighbors that fast became extended family many years a go.

We will miss your smiles and kind words. You always knew what to say, from advice to a joke to make us smile. There was never a lack of love with Arnie and Shirley and they both will be missed deeply by many family members and close friends.

He is survived by his sons, Jason (Heather) Sebranek and their children, Skye, Monroe, and Ryker; Marcus (Jeri Gross) Sebranek and Eli, his siblings, Larry (Mary) Sebranek of La Crosse, Donna (Ron) Johnson of La Farge, Jim Sebranek (special friend Pat Nestor) of West Salem, and Dan (Mary) Sebranek of Coon Valley. He will also be missed by aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He is preceeded in death by his wife, parents; brother, Doug Sebranek; sister-in-law Pam Sebranek; nephew Seth Sebranek; and great-nephew, Henry Thomas.

A visitation for family and freinds will be from 11-1 on Monday Jan. 22 at Coulee Region Cremation Group in Onalaska. A prayer service will be held at 1 pm with Pastor Bonita “Toots” Dorschied officiating. Online condolences may be offered at couleecremation.com

We would like to thank all of our family and neighbors that have been so helpful.

Condolences
