Colleen Lentz, 50, of Mauston, passed away on Tuesday, May 18 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. A memorial service will be held for her at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mauston, WI on Saturday, May 22 starting at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:30. Following the service a lunch and gathering will happen in the fellowship hall of the church. Coulee Region Cremation Group at is assisting the family. 

 

Colleen was a master of making friends. Her wedding ceremony was a testament to that as she had friends travel from all corners of the state and from every major time in her life.

 

She also became a beloved member of the Lentz family. Her loss is grieved by Carney Lentz, her husband; Karen and Carl Lentz, her parents-in-law; and the rest of the immediate Lentz family: Kelly (Lentz) Esser, Kent Lentz, Cory Lentz, Karey (Lentz) Netz, and several nieces and nephews.

 

Colleen always put other people first. This was her secret to making friends and influencing people. She cared deeply and she gave until it hurt. Colleen is survived by far too many friends to list. Her longest lasting friendship was with Elisabeth Perrin of Milwaukee,WI. Also very dear to Colleen was Linda Sweda of Adams, Bonnie Kreif of Kewaskum, Linda Matrick of Wisconsin Dells, and Sandy Anderson of West Bend.

 

Colleen loved animals as much as she loved people (more so depending upon the person). She is survived by Missy, Lucy, and Miley.

 

Colleen was born to William and Dolores Ramme on July 8, 1959. Other surviving family members include: Lorraine Johnson, an aunt; Bruce and Linda Ramme, her brother and sister-in-law; Gail and Todd Benz, her sister and brother-in-law; Austin Ramme, a nephew; Katie (Benz) Kennedy, a niece and god child; Gunner Kennedy, her great nephew; Clara Kennedy, her great niece; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
