Jerome “Moose” J. Stoeckly Jr., 45, of La Crosse passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jerry was born in La Crosse on June 5, 1972, to Jerome J. Senior and Gloria J. (Gill) Stoeckly.

Jerry attended Holmen School District and graduated La Crosse Central High School 1990. Jerry had a passion for wrestling, which took him to state and nationals, with the help of his favorite coach, his father.

Following graduation, Jerry worked in concrete for many years.  Most of the time Jerry was self-employed but he also worked for companies such as Fowler and Hammer for a brief time.  Jerry was always happiest when working alongside his dad Jerome “Jerry” Senior and nephew Brent Liethen.

Jerry was an avid green bay packer fan.  He loved fishing, golfing, spending time on the river and most of all spending time with his family.  All that knew him will remember him for his big heart and great sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Gloria Stoeckly; three daughters Sierra Myers (Alex Scott), Olivia and Ellie Stoeckly; three sisters, Shelly Stoeckly, Tonya Peterson and Sondra Kabat; three nephews, Brent Liethen (Christine Lewis), Michael Nutter and Jordan Angst; one niece Lynsey Kabat; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Stoeckly Senior and all four grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at 12 PM in the Prairie Room at the Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska with visitation at 11 AM until the time of service.

To the family of Jerry. You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your partner, father, son and brother. His life was too brief. He is now free of pain and at peace. I have not seen Jerry since the death of his father. I know they loved each other so much. I am sure Jerry Sr welcomed him home with open arms. May he rest in peace.
