Peggy Lynn (Holen) Tranberg

Peggy Lynn (Holen) Tranberg, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Monday, October 15, 2018. Peggy was born in Black River Falls, WI, on May 6, 1955 to Willard and Virginia (Seifert) Holen of Northfield, WI.  She was raised on the family farm.  She graduated from Whitehall High School.  She worked for a time at Floral Farms in Pigeon Falls, WI.
    On December 22, 1973, she married Gene Tranberg of Galesville, WI.  They made their home in Galesville and were blessed with a daughter, son-in-law, and three grandchildren who meant the world to her.   Peggy was very adept at raising flowers.  She enjoyed birds which flocked around her feeders.  She was also excited to spot eagles anywhere she went.  Peggy was a very genuine person with a wonderful sense of humor which will be dearly missed by all who  knew and loved her.
    Peggy is survived by her husband, Gene, of Galesville, daughter Heather (Wally) Seubert, grandsons Trenton and Noah Seubert, and granddaughter Olivia Seubert all of Cedar Rapids, IA.  She is also survived by a brother, Dave (Jeanne) Holen of Hixton, a godson, Nels (Katie) Nelson of Winona, and cousins Bev (Roger) Nelson, Mike Otterson, Gary (Jane) Holen, Linda (Clyde) Werner, Patricia Pederson, and Rick (Rhonda) Greeno.  Also by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lynda (Harlan) Hjerleid, Marlene (Doug) Holte, David (Bev) Tranberg, John Olson, Laurie (Randy) McCutchen, and Steve (Laura) Tranberg who treated her like a sister.  She will also be missed by many revered nieces, nephews and friends.
    Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Albert and Inga Holen and James and Millie Seifert, nephew Travis Holen, cousin, Tim Greeno; father-in-law and mother-in-law Odell and Geraldine Tranberg, sister-in-law Julie Olson, and special aunts and uncles.
    Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at French Creek Lutheran Church in rural Ettrick.  Pastor Anna Sorenson officiating.  Visitation will precede the funeral service from 11:00 AM until time of service.  Burial will be at Pine Cliff Cemetery in Galesville.
    Gene and family would like to thank the Gundersen Hospice nurses and doctors for their wonderful care of Peggy.
