Patricia A. (La Rose) Jacobs 72, of Onalaska, died April 15, 2015 after a 2 year battle with cancer.

She was born May 7, 1942 in Fitchburg, MA, the daughter of Alice and William La Rose.  She attended School in Ashby, MA and Omaha NE.

Upon graduation from High School in Omaha, she married Robert E Jacobs at Offutt AFB in Omaha.  The family also lived on AF Bases in Colorado, North Dakota, & California.

Together they had 3 children, Kathleen Manninger(Mike Olson) Robin Jacobs(Jill Dempsey) and Robert Jacobs II. All from La Crosse and Onalaska.

The Family retired from the Air Force after 20 years and moved to Fitchburg, MA.  PJ & Robert divorced in 1985 and the family moved to La Crosse.  PJ moved to be with her family a few years later.

PJ worked as a Cook at Mr. D’s restaurant before taking a position at the Kwik trip store on George St. in La Crosse.  She retired to Onalaska.

PJ is survived by her 3 Children,  former husband Robert Jacobs(Nancy) , brother Albert La Rose of Fitchburg, MA, two grandchildren Patricia Manninger(Dustin Kline) and Greg Manninger both of La Crosse.  She is also survived by five Great grandchildren Jackson, Jason, Colton, Logan and Athena.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers Bill & Richard.

The family gives a special Thank You to the staff at Benedictine Manor in La Crosse that cared for our mother.

A Celebration of life will be held for family and friends on Friday April 17 from 4 pm to 6pm at the Coulee Region Cremation Group 133 Mason St. Onalaska, WI.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
