Obituary
Patricia Ann Alton
Heaven gained an angel when Patricia Ann was called home on Thursday, February 6th, 2025. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Famous for her apple bars and open door, she never turned away a friend or an ear. You could count on her to have a Pepsi ready and cards on the table at her family home on French Island.
Patricia lived a humble, happy life, surrounded by family who loved her dearly. So many have gone before her, and we know loving arms were waiting to greet her on the other side, especially her sons Jeffery and Steve Alton.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Pettera of La Crosse, and her granddaughters, Brittiny (Mathew) Knoll and LeeAnna (Codi) Bohnert. Her son, Danny (Lori) Alton of DeSoto, along with their children Jeffery (Sadie Brosinski) Alton and Ava Alton, also carry her memory. She is also lovingly remembered by her blended family, Reese (Tony) Brenengen of La Crosse, and their children Nate Brenengen and Lucy (Tanner) Brenengen-Copper.
Her grandchildren include Lyndell (Richard) Stuessel and Lacey (Brian) Hein. Patricia’s great-grandchildren are Jorian (Samara Pritchard) Miller, Max Hein, Amelia Hein, Abby Hein, Layne Schmitz, Mason Knoll, Mattie Knoll, Tucker Stuessel, Caden Stuessel, Dax Bohnert, Icel Alton, Lenna Alton, and Jett Alton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 20th, at 2 p.m. at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, WI 54650, with a gathering until 4 p.m.

I worked with Pat for many years at Northern Engraving. She could always put a smile on your face with her sense of humor. Great lady.
Oh pat..how i remember you while I was growing up..you lived behind us and every time my mom was in the hospital you would make my dad and I food..even though I feel bad for saying this..your baking was better than your cooking❤️ you will be missed..you are now with your sons❤️ RIP Pat❤️
I have known Pat my whole life and had lots fun memories bowling in Lansing and bowling tournaments throughout Iowa. She liked the Swing Inn – sports especially softball and family of course . She had lots of friends and truly loved people. She always had a smile on her face and loved a great joke.
My sincere sympathy to Jackie, Danny and all the families associated with Patricia Ann! Rest in Peace Pat! 🙏💐
Rest in peace, beloved Mom Pat. I’m sure your son, my late husband, Steve welcomed you with a sarcastic comment and a warm hug.
