Patricia Joan Hicke , 92, of La Crosse passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

Pat was- born December 5, 1930, to Walter and Verona DeLaney on Indian Hill in La Crosse, WI.

Pat was a lifetime North Sider and graduated from Logan High School. Pat was married to Kermit Hicke on May 12, 1951 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They were later divorced but remained friends. She is survived by a son, Michael (Laurie) Hicke and their children Ashley (Nick) Anker, Lauren (Chris) Kachel and their son Tate. A daughter Jaye Hicke and her daughter Toni (Ben) Johnson.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carol Koelbl, brother John “Jack” DeLaney, and Kermit Hicke.

Pat was a lifetime parishioner of Immanuel Lutheran Church and enjoyed coffee and doughnuts after service every Sunday. Pat worked at Garment Factory, Jack Winters, and later retired from Lutheran (Gunderson) Hospital. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling, whether it be by bus, plane, or ship. She traveled all throughout the United States, but her trip to Alaska and a long-awaited trip to Hawaii were her favorite. Pat attended classes at the YMCA in La Crosse five days a week and made some very special friends there. Pat also had “lunch bunch” once a month with a group of lifelong friends from high school.

We would like to thank Tomah Nursing and Rehab for the wonderful care they provided the over the past year. Also, thank you to St. Croix Hospice for the care they provided in her final days.

A graveside memorial gathering will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery, N 1137 Bloomer Mill Road, La Crosse, WI 54601
