 Randall “Randy” W. Skifton, 66 of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center.

He was born on December 31, 1944 to Howard and Mary Jean (Otto) Skifton. Randy married Judith Bray on January 4, 1989 in their home in La Crosse.

 

Randy enjoyed golfing, watching the Packers, spending time with friends, and the annual spring fishing trip with Buzz and the Boys.

 

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Jocelyn Thrasher, Jennifer Berkey; step-children, Mary, Jerry, James, Michele, Mark, Juliet; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rick (Dianne) Skifton, Russell (Margaret Mary) Skifton, Rodney Skifton, Rolly (Molly) Skifton, Rocky (Diane) Skifton, Ron (Debbie) Skifton, Rory Skifton and his son, Josh; sisters, Cheryl (Paul) Mergen, Connie (Joe) Aubuchon, Cathy Beck, Candy (Merlin) Garner; and many other relatives and friends.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger; sisters, Cindy and Christine.

 

The family would like to thank Lakeview Health Care for their excellent care, Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center and Hospice for their kindness and care, Dr. Kaphusman, Dr. Cooper, and Dr. Kyla Lee for their care and support.

 

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1333 S. 13^th St., La Crosse. The Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate and Msgr. Bernard McGarty will concelebrate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the mass at the church. A celebration of life will be held following the luncheon at the Recovery Room, 901 7^th St., La Crosse. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
