Raymond Arlin Paisley, 79, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born August 10, 1936 to Neanian and Viola (Johnson) Paisley. He married LaVonne  “Bonnie” Freng on Dec. 6, 1958.

Raymond loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandchildren.  He enjoyed gardening and flowers as well.  Raymond was a proud US Army Veteran. He had a strong work ethic and enjoyed his long career in the trucking industry.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; and 4 sons, Neal (Dawn) of Bangor, Ken (Laurie) of West Fargo, N.D., Gary (Becky) of Plainfield, IL., and Kevin of Tempe, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Casey, Kristopher, Michael, and Kelsey; 2 sisters, Ruth Schultz of LaCrosse, Lois (Virgil) Stetzer of Mindoro; and many nieces, nephews., relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Robert and Roland.

The family would like to sincerely thank the hospice care providers at Gundersen Health System along with cancer physicians for their years of care.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday May 13, 2016, with visitation at 10:00, service at 11:00, at the Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.  Pastor Karyn Bodenschatz will officiate.  Burial will be held at the Farmington Cemetery, Mindoro, with military honors.
