Rebecca Mary Murphy, born to Andrew J. Anderson and Alice B. Wiersma Anderson on November 27, 1954, died on July 20, 2025, at home after a year-long struggle against lymphoma. Rebecca married Michael G. Murphy in Richland Center WI on November 29, 1996. She served honorably in the Navy; worked in marketing; cleaned commercial and residential properties; and volunteered for causes she felt passionate about. She tended her spiritual life in the Church of the Forest. She enjoyed long walks year round with pets, famiły, and friends. Many dogs received a forever home with her help.

Rebecca is survived by her husband Michael G. Murphy and her son Samuel T. Anderson; sister Kit Johnson and brother-in-law Terry Johnson; brother Pete Anderson and sister-in-law Judy Anderson; Michael’s daughters Emily Walter and Sarah Murphy; grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Andrew J. Anderson and Alice B. Wiersma Anderson.
