Richard R. (Dick) Wehrenberg

Richard R (Dick) Wehrenberg of West Salem, WI passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Tomah VA. He had a military escort leaving the facility, to which is family is extremely grateful for.

He was born December 8, 1936, in La Crosse WI. Dick married the love of his life Bernice “Bonnie” Hass on June 23, 1956.

Dick served 20 years in the Air Force and travel the world. He retired from the Air Force and made a career with Carquest Auto Parts.

Dick and Bonnie have 5 children, Denise Kackley of Virginia, Kim (John) Williams of Onalaska, Rick Wehrenberg of Onalaska, Lea (Mark) Kendhammer of La Crosse WI and Mary Wehrenberg of WI. 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great, great, grandchildren.

The Wehrenberg family would like to express their gratitude to the Tomah Va for such compassionate care of our beloved father.

Celebration of life to be held at a later date.

    Dick was a great addition to our home. His smile and jokes
    Will never be forgotten. He was always a fun one to “pick on”. As he would give it right back. Till we meet again dick, I bet your enjoying your Alaskan dream up in heaven with your wife. “In the snow”.
