Obituary

Ricky Lee Stetzer

January 21, 2022

Ricky Lee Stetzer 68, Passed away peacefully January 21, 2022 at his home in LaCrosse.

He was born on November 10, 1953 to Donald and Carol (Pfaff) Stetzer.

He was raised on a farm in Galesville with his 4 siblings. Farming and hard work would always hold a special place in his heart.

To Rick motorcycles were much more than a hobby they were a way of life. He was a well-known collector and rider of BSA and Indian cycles. A bit of a rarity here in Harley country. Over the years it was not uncommon to see a bike or two in his living room so he could wrench in comfort over the winter. His beloved motorcycles were just as much a part of his home as he was.  He was a long-time employee at Metallics on Brice Prairie. Where he was an incredibly dedicated employee and hard worker continuing to work part-time even in retirement. He didn’t care to ever sit around.

In his free time, he enjoyed meeting his long-time friends at the LaCrosse Family restaurant for a meal and coffee. His laugh was contagious, and he was an animated storyteller. His laughter and signature hand gestures will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his 2 children Annie (Ryan) Young of Onalaska, Brian (Amber) Stetzer of LaCrosse. 6 grandchildren. Sisters Linda Gartner, Barb (Steve) Kunes, a brother Randy Stetzer. As well as many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Donald and Carol (Pfaff) Stetzer, brother Terry Stetzer, and sister-in-law Patty Stetzer.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gundersen Hospice for their guidance during his time at home, and ensuring his journey was peaceful.

Per Rick’s request there will be no formal gathering or service. A celebration of life will be a private event

Cards may be mailed to Annie Young at 1108 Hickory St Onalaska, WI 54650
